Space is Limited - Register Early

Because of limited playing field availability, we will be limited to the number of teams that we can field.  To insure
that your child has a spot on a team, register early. Early registration typically ends on January 31st.   Registrations will be accepted after this date, but all registrations received after 1/31 may be placed on a wait-list if no space is available. Wait listed registrants will be placed as spots become available.

General League Organization

Coal Creek Little League, Inc. (CCLL) offers co-ed baseball to players of ages 6 to 14 that reside within our league boundaries, regardless of ability or previous playing experience.  League boundaries include most of the City of Lafayette, the Town of Erie, and surrounding areas.  You must live within our boundaries to play in our league.

League Boundaries

CCLL serves the communities of Lafayette, Erie, and portions of Boulder and Weld Counties.  Refer to the map here for more information.

Divisions of Play

CCLL offers multiple divisions of play depending on age. Refer here for more information.

Girls Softball Program

In prior seasons CCLL has co-chartered with Monarch Little League’s softball program. At this time the status of Monarch’s softball program has not been determined and we cannot accept any registrations for softball. Should Monarch proceed with their softball program we will post information on our website on how to register for that program.

Player Evaluations

All players must attend evaluations. Please refer here for more information.

Player Draft

Shortly after the player evaluations, the managers and coaches meet to draft their teams.  Siblings who are playing in the same division will be placed on the same team.  Coaches’ and managers’ children are automatically placed prior to the draft.  Players may not request to be on the same team as a friend, request a particular coach, nor may a coach request a particular player.

Regular Season

Opening Day is typically scheduled for the first Saturday of April. There will normally be one practice and two games scheduled each week through mid-June.  A single elimination tournament for each division is played at the end of the regular season, except Juniors and Intermediate.

All-Stars

At the conclusion of the regular season, an All-Star team is formed for all divisions except Rookies.  There are age and eligibility requirements for the All-Star tournaments. You can learn about these as well as much more information here.

Fundraising and Volunteering

Coal Creek Little League strives to give every child in our boundaries a positive baseball experience that enhances skills, self-esteem and sportsmanship in an environment of fun.  It cannot operate on player fees alone.  CCLL is dependent upon volunteers, fundraising efforts, and the generous support of many community sponsors to pay for game and practice field rentals, uniforms, equipment, insurance, and many other expenses.  CCLL simply cannot accomplish all that is required without the help and support of families, sponsors, and friends of the league who are willing to volunteer their time, talents, and money.

Fundraising

CCLL provides several ways for families and the community to help. For more information on fundraising opportunities go here.

Volunteering

Coal Creek Little League has a critical need for enthusiastic volunteers.  One of the best ways for you and your child to learn the game is to get involved…volunteer! For more information on volunteering opportunities go here.
